Advice Please

I’m in a bit of a dilemma and I’m hoping that somebody who reads this has some good advice for me.

My neighbors and I initiated a neighborhood watch program because there was a lot of theft going on in the community. Just about everybody had been a victim of some sort of attack and with the attacks becoming more frequent and the few arrests that were made ended with the charges being dropped we knew we had to do something. We decided to start this program with the intention of being able protect everyone from the onslaught that was hurting us and lowering our property values.

So my neighbors and I formed this program and decided to make my neighbor Barry, who lives around the corner, our watch captain. Barry was new to the neighborhood, having moved in a couple of years ago. We didn’t really know where he came from but he seemed to understand the situation and had the right answers to our questions. He seemed the perfect choice to lead us out of this situation.

 

 It turned out Barry was amazing. He kept us informed of what he was doing to stop the crime; He was hiring people to help watch the community, he was working on safety guidelines to keep us protected in our homes and while we were outside. He was working with the Watch Captains of other community programs and sharing ideas with them to make communities safer everywhere. Pretty soon crime was almost a thing of the past and my neighbors felt comfortable again no matter where they were. Our community watch program was a success!

 

Barry was extremely motivated by his success and he continued to add security measures and restrictions to protect us. He gave us what he called the Community Care Act (CCA) that guaranteed we would have the best security possible. It covered everything from home fires to splinters. He would take care of everything. We didn’t need took to look anywhere else for our needs. Most of us didn’t mind, we knew it was for our own good. We also didn’t mind when the CCA had a tax built into it to pay for it. He was protecting us and after all, who can put a price on security?

We all decided that our neighborhood was safe so we didn’t mind when Barry decided to let illegal aliens move into the empty houses that were vacated during the crime spree. The new people didn’t talk to us, they kept among themselves, but you know, they didn’t speak English anyway. If they committed any crimes Barry would have prosecuted them just like the original criminals so we tolerated them.

Some of my neighbors started talking about how Barry was overstepping his authority. “Barry was just trying to clean up the neighborhood” I thought, “he wasn’t making unreasonable demands”. My neighbors didn’t appreciate that Barry was telling them what they could and couldn’t do in their own house and in their own yard.

My neighbor John was fined for leaving his outside light on all night. “That wasn’t so bad” I thought, “that light has always shined in my bedroom window when I’m trying to sleep”.

Mark, who lives down the street was fined for having a flag pole in his yard. “That’s not so bad” I told myself, “A tree would look much nicer than a skinny pipe reaching twenty feet into the air”.

Some of my neighbors started to rebel. A few of them at first but more started to join in when the regulations seemed to only affect the longtime homeowners, the new neighbors didn’t seem to be required to obey the rules. They kept their lights on all night, they kept their flag poles and flew flags on them that I didn’t even know what they represented. It seemed unfair in a way but I didn’t have any problem with the rules and I tried to follow them so I wouldn’t get in trouble with Barry.

There was no reason to complain about the rules, the rules were there to stay and besides, we chose Barry to clean up the neighborhood, and he was.

My neighbors son was beaten in Independence Park, the public park across the street from me, by a couple of illegals two weeks ago, he went the emergency room and was released a little while later with minor abrasions and six stitches. His father, Tom went to talk to Barry about finding the kids responsible and getting the hospital bill paid as guaranteed in the CCA but he was only able to talk to Barry’s assistant who said that the CCA did not cover fighting, even though it was an attack and not a mutual fight did not matter, CCA would not pay. The assistant said that kids who attacked the boy would not be held responsible because they are a minority and in the spirit of fairness it would be inappropriate to discipline them. There have been three more beatings in the park since.

Tom became the loudest voice against Barry’s actions. He talked about how wrong it was that Barry was taking our money but not giving us the benefits he promised. Other neighbors started agreeing with Tom and they starting talking about how Barry needs to removed from his position as Watch Captain. A week ago Tom was fined for having dead branches on his tree, for having weeds in his yard, there was a dent in his siding and an oil stain in his driveway. The fine came to $560 and Tom has to pay it by the end of the month or he will be required to do community service for two weekends. Some of the other neighbors have been quiet ever since but not all of them.

Yesterday, Barry had a construction crew put up a fence around Independence Park. He told us that we are complaining too much and not paying enough to be able to have access to it. He posted guards at the gate and only allowed the illegals into it while we stood at the fence watching. We called the police but the police said that Barry could do whatever he wanted since we elected him and then they informed us that we were standing on public property and would have to return to our homes.

 I still want to give Barry the benefit of the doubt that he is trying to do the right thing in our community but I am beginning to think that he is going too far. Am I being too hard on Barry? I would appreciate some advice on this.

On Issues, he shows strong Constitutionally Conservative beliefs in term limits, the 2nd Amendment, and limiting government spending and eliminating waste, fraud and abuse of taxpayer's money.  He strongly supports of the movement to entirely defund Obamacare. 

 

As a school teacher, JD  believes that education is best left to the local level and that parents and communities know what is best for their own children, leaving the decisions to them.  He has seen the problems first hand caused by federal government involvement by plans such as No Child Left Behind and what Common Core would do.

 

His stance on Immigration is simple and to the point: Borders need to be secured before discussion of reform can proceed. Period.

JD shows a lot of promise to hold true to the Constitution and Conservative and enduring values that so many Americans find lacking in Washington. He's got fresh ideas and brings invigorating ways to help transform our bloated government through his CAST program.  We need fresh people in Washington, willing to work towards a more fiscally responsible Congress who is willing to remember that they represent We the People.

Lee Bright is running for US Senate against long time politician Lindsey Graham. 

On issues ranging from pro-business to pro-life, Sen. Bright has proven himself to be a true Conservative and strong on Constitutional values. He is a firm believer in the Right to Life as the Founding fathers believed, saying Protecting the right for a child to live is one of the most basic functions of a society. If our nation fails in this aspect, then how can we expect to protect liberty and constitutional rights?

As far as government spending goes, Lee has been an outspoken critic of government spending and was designated as one of four "taxpayer heroes in the Senate" by the South Carolina chapter of the Club for Growth, for 2011-2012, and he also received the Friend of Taxpayer Award from the Spartanburg County Taxpayers Association. He had the highest rating of the Palmetto Liberty PAC on it's scorecard and was unanimously endorsed by the Republican Liberty Caucus of South Carolina.

He is a tough 2nd Amendment advocate, who is lead sponsor of the Constitutional Carry bill (removing requirement of law-abiding citizens to obtain a permit to exercise Second Amendment rights) and the Firearms Freedom Act (exempting firearms manufactured in state for sale in state form regulations).

On the issue of healthcare, he has been an outspoken opponent of  Obama Care, and sponsored a bill that would criminalize the act.

Sen. Bright, a native and resident of Spartanburg,  is married and has two children. He is director of business development for BBD, LLC and operates a trucking brokerage business and has served as a board member of the Palmetto Family Council, Attorney General’s Commission on the Family, Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary, and the Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission.

He's a strong candidate with a consistant record as a member of the Spartanburg County District 6 School Board, and was re-elected to a second term as State Senator with 60% of the vote and winning every precinct even though his district was redrawn to include parts of Greenville County and was challenged by a former  incumbent.

We need someone with Senator Bright's strong stance against Islamic terrorism, National Defense and support of our Military, his excellent and perfect score on fiscal responsiblity, and Constitutional respect.  It is time for Lindsey Graham to retire. Matt Bevin is running for US Senate against incumbent Kentucky Senator Mitch McConnell.

Matt was commissioned as an officer in the US Army after graduating from Washington and Lee University, ultimately rising to the rank of Captain.  He spent four year on active duty with primary responsibilities as the 5th Mechanized infantry Division Artillery's counterfire officer.

It's Far From Over

During this past week of the implementation of Obamacare and the government shutdown I have been asking myself how we, as a free people, got here. I’ve thought about it, prayed about it and talked about it, but then I came across a Scripture verse which answered my question.

In Romans, the first chapter, we see many similarities between Paul’s writing and today’s news and in verse 18 it is written; “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness” (NKJV). But you ask is this the wrath of God? It’s a good question and one I am about to answer.

Yes, it is the wrath of God not upon His people but the world who has stuck their finger in His eye one too many times. Obamacare is an unjust law, passed, promoted and imposed upon we the people who did not and still do not want socialized medicine. With many losing their health insurance and premiums rising do we not think many have beseeched our God to intervene in this earthly crisis?

I know I have gone to the Throne of Grace more than once about the injustice not only of this law but because of the many other things this administration has done by not following the laws of the land. Through executive orders, going around Congress, persecuting their opponents by the heavy hand of the IRS, despising those who loyally served them in Benghazi and on our southern border in Fast and Furious as well as the many other scandals and then dismissing our allies, especially God’s chosen people of Israel, the Obama administration has not only lied and deceived we the people but aligned itself and our nation with those who want to destroy this land of the free.

Years ago, Tennessee Ernie Ford made a recording of the song “This is my country” and that it is and yours as well, so it is up to we the people to stand for what we know as the Truth, not only in our founding documents but in the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We all know the Scripture verse in 2 Chronicles 7:14 about healing our land but we must also believe the Lord will do it. Let not your heart be troubled as Jesus told us because regardless of what it looks like today our God has neither abandoned us nor will He forsake us. Be strong and of a good courage as the Lord told Joshua and see the victory of God. We’ve won but we just haven’t seen it yet. Keep the faith because it’s far from over; we will win and soon I might add.

Benghazi Remembrance Forward: a letter to King George

On September 11, 2012, four men lost their lives in Benghazi, Libya. The Obama Administration and the mainstream media wish we would "move forward" and leave the memory of those men’s deaths in the past. We will NEVER forget. Rather, we will keep the murders of Ambassador J. Christopher Stevens and U.S. Foreign Service Information Management Officer Sean Smith and the two brave former Navy SEALS that lost their lives trying to rescue Stevens and Smith Glen Doherty and Tyrone S. Woods in the forefront until the truth is revealed, the murderers brought to justice, tried and convicted for their crimes.

Much has been said of Ambassador Stevens and Mr. Smith but not enough about our two brave Navy Seals that NEVER forgot their oath to protect and defend the United States, two brave men that disobeyed a stand-down order and ran to the aid of those at the consulate in Benghazi.

Glen Anthony Doherty (c. 1970–September 11, 2012) born in Winchester, MA. Doherty served as a Navy SEAL, responded to the bombing of the USS Cole, completed tours of duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. After leaving the Navy in 2005, he worked for a private security company in Afghanistan, Iraq, Israel, Kenya and Libya tracking down and destroying shoulder-fired surface-to-air missiles (MANPADS).

Tyrone Snowden Woods (January 15, 1971 – September 12, 2012) born in Portland, Oregon. Woods served 20 years of honorable service in the U.S. Navy before joining the State Department Diplomatic Security in 2010 under contract as a U.S. embassy security personnel. Woods protected American diplomats in posts from Central America to the Middle East. Woods was a registered nurse and certified paramedic.

As a Navy SEAL in 2005-2006, Woods was awarded the Bronze Star Medal with combat "V" Device for valor in Iraq. He led 12 direct action raids and 10 reconnaissance missions leading to the capture of 34 enemy insurgents in the volatile Al Anbar province. He served multiple tours in Iraq and Afghanistan, the Middle East and Central America.

September 11, 2001 and 2012

While the nation reflects and remembers the 12th Anniversary of the terrorist attacks which hit New York and D.C., and ended in a field in Pennsylvania, so many people will have not yet thought of another terrorist attack in which 4 Americans died, in Benghazi, Libya, September 11, 2012.

  The fact is that only independent online sources, a hand full of journalists and some ordinary Americans have been trying to keep these men’s memories alive, and that our government lied and has maintained a cover-up. Four families are still waiting for the truth about what happened to their loved ones, the truth promised by then Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as she stood in front of four flag-draped coffins.

I’m one out of many dedicated American bloggers who have worked tirelessly to expose the secrecy and convince our elected officials to seek the truth. There is nothing more painful than seeing the lack of concern by Congress to form a Select Committee to investigate Benghazi and find answers for the families and for Americans. Everyday Americans are exhausted keeping up with the Obama administration scandals while trying to work, raise their families, complete their education and remain in their homes let alone understand the complexities of appointing a Select Committee we have no voice in.


Subsequent Events
Many things have happened since last September 11, 2012. Obama was reelected, in large part because of ignorance and misinformation. Many people still are unaware of what and where Benghazi is let alone what was occurring at the Consulate and CIA Annex on the night of September 11, 2012. Former Secretary of State Hillary "What difference does it make" Clinton is gearing up for her 2016 presidential run, with the support of leftists and the mainstream media. Members of Congress and the Obama administration lament over the death of a young man in Florida, yet not a word about the brutal beating in Spokane, Washington which led to the death of 88 year old Delbert Belton, a World War II Veteran Hero wounded at Okinawa defending our freedom and liberty. We’ve had families of Navy SEAL Team 6 Special Forces servicemen, the family of an Army National Guardsman, retired Military experts and other concerned Americans seeking Congressional Investigation and answers to what happened during the downing of the CH-47 Chinook, call sign Extortion 17, in August of 2011. This incident is considered the worse loss of American military lives in the Afghanistan war which killed all 38 on board.  Still no answers have been given to their families. Is it just a coincidence that the SEALS who died that day are from the Same Team which eliminated Osama Bin Ladin?

We saw tragic deaths of other members of SEAL Team 6 and the murder of Former SEAL Chris Kyle who was shot to death as he was helping a fellow Veteran February 2, 2013. And we’ve still not had any moves from our government to demand the release of Bowe Bergdahl, our only POW who has been held now for over 4 years, or as of today, 1,535 days.


One Year Later and Still No Select Committee or Answers
Many of our nation’s best from both Special Operations Speaks and OPSEC Team have called for and petitioned Congress to form a Select Committee to investigate Benghazi, yet still Speaker John Boehner is blocking the effort. Why? What does John Boehner gain by blocking the truth from American and protecting the Obama Administration?

Many questions, speculations and enough evidence of lies and cover ups have been reported this past year. A partial list of chronological details about Benghazi, compiled from my own research, can be found at the conclusion of this blog.

Four Americans are dead, two were former Navy Seals that selflessly risked and sacrificed their lives in a multiple-hour battle with the enemy believing help was on the way in answer to their distress signals. They were left alone to fight hundreds of terrorists while key government officials watched them die. Instead of sending help and a C-130 Spectre gunship which was ready to go, they sent a drone armed with nothing but a camera.


Sworn Testimony on the Benghazi Events
Gregory Hicks, Former Deputy Chief of Mission in Libya, in his testimony before the Congressional Oversight Committee:

"At about 3 a.m. I received a call from the prime minister of Libya. I think it is the saddest phone call I have ever had in my life. He told me that Ambassador Stevens had passed away. I immediately telephoned Washington that news afterwards, and began accelerating our effort to withdraw from the Villas compound and move to the annex."
In response to Clinton’s "what difference at this point does it make? comment Hicks replied to Rep. Hicks went on to say that the FBI’s arrival at the scene of the attack was postponed by 18 days as a result of the White House’s decision to blame the attack on the video. As for Rice's comments that Sunday, when she repeatedly cited the video as the trigger for the attack, Hicks said "My jaw dropped, and I was embarrassed."　
We Must Act
On this most solemn of days, I ask everyone once again to take action. Please make a donation to OPSEC Team and SOS, so they can continue in their work of informing and seeking the truth. If you haven’t yet, please contact your member of Congress and ask them to sign and support Representative Frank Wolf's HR 36, resolution to form a Select Committee with subpoena powers to fully investigate Benghazi.  And then e mail and tweet  Speaker John Boehner and demand the formation of a Committee.


The Woods, Dohertys, Stevens and Smiths deserve the truth about what happened to their respective family members and its long past time that they receive it.

Where were you when America Died?

Today myself and a group of fellow patriots held an impeach Obama rally in Corpus Christi Texas. We had a great public response, we were safe and had ZERO problems with LEO community. That being said I’ve got a couple of small gripes.

 #1 Glenn Beck airs a commercial which states something along the lines of “where were you when America died.” Man I gotta say the same thing. Where are all the patriots who are so vocal on Facebook and twitter? It’s so easy to battle liberalism from the safety of yer stinkin living room ain’t it? My gosh folks, we HAVE GOTTA GET PROACTIVE. Now please don’t get me wrong here. This is the 2nd rally we’ve held and the group of folks who come out are  phenomenal. But we should have hundreds….no thousands of folks out attending events like this.
#2 I sent multiple emails to KIITV and channel 10 newly here with no response. I was asking fer just a little media coverage so folks know what we’re doing. Another of our members called Joe at the news room personally and was told that they weren’t interested in our story. My God, is the media that stinkin stupid? (Yes, that was a rhetorical question)    
Those who read my blogs know that I normally mix a little southern humor into my writings, well I got nothing funny to say right now.

 You stinking keyboard patriots better wake up quick before your sitting your hind parts in some stinkin FEMA camp wishing you had a twitter account to complain on. This stuff is no joking matter and if we don’t start holding our reps accountable or firing their worthless butts we’re gonna be in a world of hurt. If this country goes down the poop shoot it certainly ain’t gonna be because I didn’t do anything.

ARM YOURSELVES WITH KNOWLEDGE AND UNDERSTANDING. THE MOST DANGEROUS ENEMY IS AN EDUCATED ENEMY. GET OUT OF YOUR HOMES AND DO SOMETHING WORTHWHILE. WE NEED ALL

PATRIOTS TO RISE UP AND TAKE BACK THIS BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY.

A Hero's Battle Cry: Dishonoring the Troops

I've had our Veterans and Troops on my mind so much for the past few years, and more and more I've been seeing the disrespect, dishonor and demoralization of those who have given and still give so much for us all.  From being stripped of their 1st Amendment rights, to being left behind still for deserved and much needed benefits, to the lip service given by so many, yet who have done nothing to honor any of them.

I'm nothing more than a stay at home mom, but I love our men and women who have and who still serve, who have given me the gift of a country to call home. They have paid incredible cost of sacrifices for my freedoms, there is nothing I can ever do or say that can make up for what they have done.

All those I know and love tell me that it has and is their honor to serve, and Veterans tell me they would willingly do so again.  That's another thing I love about them. Because that's WHO they are.

They don't ask for special recognition, but they ought to have it.  They don't seek fame, but they ought to have at least a Thank You. They don't seek awards, but they deserve so much more than they get, especially from those who make the decisions to send them off into harm's way.

Our government has no problems declaring war or sending our best off to fight- but when it's time to give what has been fought with so much pain and loss, so many of our Veterans and returning troops get so little, and often have to fight still just to get basic care and benefits that somehow millions of people who never worked for receive every year to the cost of Billions of dollars.

There is so much more to be said, but the part that makes me the angriest, is the hypocrisy of so many of the left, their empty words of praise mean nothing when they also say things which demoralize those on the front lines. Their actions and inactions because of politics is disgraceful.

This video is a compilation of much of the hypocrisy of progressives over the years. There is so much more, but hearing their own words speaks volumes.  I hope we have honored our troops and Veterans with this video, no matter how hard it is to watch. I hope many people see and hear for themselves and maybe just consider how words can effect our soldiers and Veterans, and make people more aware of just what they have given for us.
